It's that time of year again, Lanshaw Ink is off to Gilchrist. A cabin in the woods, in the middle of winter, without internet and phone service. We will be bringing our laptops and working on our novels.

What are we working on? Well, the next piece of Ruins of War as well as our own novels and stories. Maybe some edits, and maybe some planning and plotting. Honestly, some well needed sleep since we've spent the last month movi...

The year was 2019. It opened with big plans, big ideas, and big promises. The biggest promise? A fully completed MM romance out by year’s end. The promise died on a whimper. Not due to lack of time or lack of ideas, nor because of an excess. What was the dilemma?

A series.

I wanted to write a series.

It doesn’t sound like a dilemma, does it? Nothing too difficult, nothing that should cut a book off at the knees, (or should I say,...

A lot of things happened that lead up to the events of Ruins of War, It wasn’t something that happened overnight. As a matter of fact, it’s something that spanned a long amount of time. For instances, the events of Secrets of Darkness, which take place in 2006, though not directly connected, was a start to some of the future events.

If you had to pinpoint a single event that was the “start” of the Fall of the American States an...

After the human war the United States began selling off land. At first other countries were the ones to purchase these lands, but then other species stepped up; the vampires, the werewolves, the shifters, the dragons.

These other species built their own government and their own little world right inside of those borders. But each species has their own type of government, and in this blog, we'll discuss a little bit about each o...

There is a lot of planning that goes into writing with a partner. Our first book involved a lot of matching up timelines, dates, and times to assure we didn't end up confused.

We took to making story boards. Our first was done with sticky notes and different colors. It was a ton of work, but helped us see how each side of the story was progressing.

We used it to see which day the characters were at, when interactions would happe...

A lot of changes have happened for the authors of the Bound in Blood and Shadow series this year. Let's run down them:

- a move into a new place

- two new jobs

- a new self-employment job

- Offices in a group

and so many others... Our lives have been so busy that writing has sadly been put a little lower on our lists.

We both dislikes this a lot. But! We are still writing. Both on our single projects and on Book Two which has taken...

If you’ve read Double-Edged War, you will see Endymion say, “Thank the gods.” In a world full of vampires and dragons, there are, indeed, different God or Goddess that they worship. Vampires have one god that they worship, often known as Dracula to humans. Though that isn’t his true name. So then, if there is only one vampire god does Endymion say, “Thank the gods” with the added s.

The reason behind this is because Endymion an...
